Johnny's Asian Bistro

 Johnny's Asian Bistro

With a name like Johnny's Asian Bistro, I had my doubts that it would be good Chinese food. A lot of us were in the mood for Chinese though, and based on many of our group members' local choice of Chinese being Johnny's, as well as Yelp reviews, Johnny's it was.
Not to be confused with John Holly's Asian Bistro, which is located in the Park Meadows mall parking lot, Johnny's Asian Bistro has Chinese and Thai food options located in a small strip mall off of Parker Rd. Upon entering the smaller establishment, we quickly noticed that the staff had set up a table for 20. They were very kind and welcoming, and quick at getting us our drinks. After about 3/4 of our group had arrived, our waitress took our orders and even gave us some ideas as to their customers' favorites. She handled our large group well, especially with new additions coming in at staggered times.

Before long we were all happily eating a variety of menu options. I ordered the Hunan Chicken, a customer favorite, and really enjoyed it. It was on the spicy side, but with rice mixed in with the vegetables and chicken, the spicy sauce lost some of its power. It was good. I tried my friends' lemon chicken, orange chicken, pork chow mein, and some curry shrimp (can't remember the exact name of it). I enjoyed all of the dishes, but liked the orange chicken the best, as did many others of our group. Normally not a fan of curry, the shrimp curry was surprisingly very good, and not too strong of curry, but rather was creamy and had a hint of coconut (coconut milk maybe?). Everybody was very satisfied with their food and the customer service we received.

If you are looking for good Asian fare in Parker, as well as great hometown service, Johnny's Asian Bistro really is wonderful, whether you are ordering in or taking out.
