About

The sign says it all...well it mostly does.

Welcome to Parker, the Parker Eating Club blog that is.

Established in 2012, we started out as a small group of 3-5 girlfriends who wanted to get out and catch up. We also wanted to try out different local eats that one of us highly recommended or had raving reviews on Yelp.

The town of Parker is on the small side, with around 50,000 people within 15 square miles. Because it is small, most of Parker's population tends to find places to dine outside of the town's limits. One of our desires was to find yummy eats close to home. We do venture within 30 minutes from the heart of Parker to eat out as well, but have found that there are so many good local options, that maybe that isn't as necessary as we once thought.

After just a couple months of trying out different places to eat, our group grew to more than 20 members who choose to come to our monthly weeknight gatherings when it works with their schedules. We are laid back and like to have fun, and our ages and interests vary. Because we are an eclectic group, it is only natural that we all choose to eat different menu options, and thus gather a large amount of valuable information for all of you when choosing where to eat out.

We try all price ranges from fast food, to cafe's, to restaurants, to hole in the walls. We try all different types of food from burgers to pad thai, and find places that have just opened to those that have been there forever. Sometimes only 5 of us show up, and other times 25 attend, but in the end you will get our feedback as to whether the place was worth it or not. We will include pictures and names of what we ordered, as well as the price and the taste (Note: The places we went prior to 2015 only have brief reviews since we are just now starting a blog). We have finally decided to share the wealth of information we gather on a monthly basis after 20+ Eating Club gatherings.

And why do we have such a horrible sounding name? It says it like it is. We have a club that gets together to eat. Eating is fun, and that is what we are all about.
