Five Guys

Five Guys --- Lone Tree

To change things up, we decided to hit a local, popular burger joint that is a step above the typical fast food chain. Because it isn't a McDonald's, the pricing is a few dollars more than a Big Mac. However, the price comparison is comparable to McD's more gourmet options, and when you eat at Five Guys you feel much better about your healthier choices. I am not saying that Five Guys burgers are great if you are on any diet, but the burgers seem like a burger you would get at your neighbor's backyard barbeque---fresh and simple.
Five Guys does things a little bit different in that they have a very simple menu with burgers, hot dogs, and fries as your main options. Then after you choose which way you are going to go, you have a variety of toppings to add, many of which are included in the base cost. Nothing crazy about the toppings, pretty much a glorified spread you might find at your neighbor's bbq. Their fries also taste very fresh, and a normal sized order of fries comes overflowing in a fun container that one could probably fill themselves entirely up on. They are pretty good too. While you are waiting for your meal you can enjoy some peanuts, which add to the casual atmosphere (that includes boxes of potatoes indicating that they are constantly getting direct shipments from Idaho). Not many of us were able to make it that night, but if you want a simple burger night that doesn't impress nor disappoint, many of our group chooses to come here with their families.
